Today I am 87 months old + 4 days
You might have noticed I was not as punctual this month. Unfortunately, Mom’s computer stopped working and Dad was in Australia when all this happened. Sadly she could not fix the problem and we had to wait for Dad. Yes, that’s right, my Dad was in Australia for 12 days! As I told a friend, “he was helping people, talking to some lawyers and seeing his friends.” He had a good trip, but we are very happy to have him home!
Me and Cara made signs to count down the days until he came home. We also made a welcome home sign. While Dad was gone, we tried to keep pretty busy. Good thing Mom is really good at that. Me and Mom did the Allen Eagle One Mile Fun Run with several of my friends. We then invited everyone back to our house for a donut party! Last week also was Open House at school. I was so proud to show Mom, Grandma and Cara all my good work. It was an awesome night!
This month wrapped up our five-month preparation for the Destination Imagination performance that I told you we were preparing for. Our team did great and most importantly I had a good time. I learned how to work as part of a team, how to compromise and how to come up with creative solutions to problems. Here is a video that Mom made of our team. The first couple minutes are photos as we worked on preparing for the performance. The last eight minutes is our performance the day of. It was great – Grandma, Grandpap and Aunt Beth were all there to watch. The end of the day was the medal ceremony. It was definitely a fantastic experience.
Hmmm … what else has been going on?
Well, I finished playing basketball and guess what that means? Yup, baseball season is right around the corner. We have been practicing for several weeks already. School is going well. I had two projects to do. The first was my “100-Days Project”. I had to make something from 100 objects to celebrate the 100th day of school. I did a basketball picture based on “Dude Perfect.” My Invention Project was next. I designed a “Driverless Car.” I got top marks on both projects! I had to get up and tell the class all about my projects and answer any questions that they may have.
This week is Spring Break and I am looking forward to Dad being home and doing some fun things. I get to spend a couple nights with Grandma, so that is VERY exciting. I have been reading Magic Tree House books and I really like them.
Cara is well. She just finished a ballet class and she was great. Mom and I went to her last class and saw her “perform.” She continues to love preschool and seems to have an uncanny love for office supplies such as tape and staples. We are always cleaning up her “art!”
I am raising money for my school. We have our upcoming Boosterthon Fun Run. Please let my mom know if you would like to pledge money per lap I run. I won’t run more than 35 laps. It’s a great way to raise money for our school while promoting healthy life choices!
Hopefully our technical difficulties are solved at the Kless house. We hope you and yours are doing well. Enjoy the coming of Spring and the happiness and joy Easter brings!
love, Sean
