I am 80-months old today!

80 months … that sound kind of old! Regardless, I hope your summer is going well and you are enjoying yourself. Our summer has been great. As I mentioned last month we were headed out for vacation in Kansas City. We had an absolutely terrific time with our friends Brad & Britton. We did a lot of fun things in KC – went swimming, visited the Negro League Baseball Museum, went to FanFest for the MLB All-Star game, listened to Brad play music and visited the Crayola store at Crown Plaza.

The highlight was going to the Homerun Derby and All-Star game! I loved seeing all my favorite players – especially David Wright and R.A. Dickey. The Texas Rangers had a lot of players there too. It was truly fantastic and I hope to make it back next year when the All-Star game is in NYC at CitiField! Cara didn’t come to the game with us. She stayed with Brad & Britton. She had a good time, though. She got her toes painted, went swimming and had ice cream! Many thanks to Brad & Britton for being terrific hosts!

Coloring at Crayola – I am making a replica of the All-Star logo from my hat.

We had a great trip and even the drive wasn’t so bad. On our way up we drove on historic Route 66, which I knew from the movie Cars. The drive home was good, it took awhile, but we got home safely.

So … what other fun things have been happening this month? I am enjoying playing basketball with my school friends. Sean basketball

I do love being on the court and I am pretty sure my headband helps me out. Grandma took me to see Peter Pan with cousin Abbie and Aunt Beth. I really liked it. We read the book first so I knew how the story went. I have been swimming a lot with my friends and just trying to stay cool. Our A/C went out upstairs so that was not so much fun for a few days, but we survived.

We were invited to go to the Lake with some friends we have made from my baseball team. I do love being in the tube. Cara liked it too.

Cara also got to have her cousin Emily spend the night! They had a really fun time together. Although Emily kept telling Cara that she was tired and that she needed to go to sleep, but Cara wouldn’t let her. The next morning they got to go have donuts for breakfast.

I like creating weekly schedules (Mommy says she is not sure where I get that from) and writing out our plan for the week. I have taken a few skating lessons to get ready for a hockey class that starts next week. I am very excited. For 18 months I have taken skating classes and now I can finally play hockey!

My Daddy has been traveling a lot for work this month. We miss him when he is gone, but we do love seeing tours of his hotel room via FaceTime! We also have loved watching the Olympics. Every day it is on and I love watching whatever is on! Any sport is good for me. Grandma and Aunt Beth went on their annual trip to Canada, they got back this week and it will be nice to see them again. While they were gone, Grandpap came over for dinner. I went to Vacation Bible School at our church this month with my friends Drew and Blake. We went to a couple of pool parties celebrating VBS, which is always fun!

That’s all for this month. I hope your summer is going great and you are enjoying yourself.

xoxo,

Sean
