I am 47-months old today
Blog poster’s (Ed) note: I am behind in posting this, the writer delivered on time.
Alas, another month has passed and I am one month closer to the BIG 4! This month my Mommy turned the BIG 4-0! She took it pretty well. I am not sure what the big deal is … think of 40 years of birthday parties and cake! I love birthdays! Which is a good thing because all in the last month there were a lot of them. We celebrated Daddy’s and Grandpap’s birthdays and Cara’s 1st birthday! It was so fun and I think she looked so “cute” on her special day. As you can imagine there were a lot of pictures from the party, so attached are a couple favorites and here is a link to see a whole lot more! http://picasaweb.google.com/christine.kless/Cara1stBirthday?authkey=Gv1sRgCLHZq6XArPLUtwE&feat=email#
We did go to the Pancake House for Cara’s birthday lunch! She loves pancakes as much as I do.
We also celebrated Halloween! Which was a lot of fun. I don’t really like the scary things at all and I am learning about what is “real” and what is “pretend,” but I still don’t like it too much. I do like the idea of getting a lot of candy! I was Thomas this year. Mommy made my costume. She really wanted me to be a Lego, but I really wanted to be Thomas (“pick your battles,” she mutters.) So, Mommy was the Lego! I think she had a lot of fun with it. Cara was a “Spooky Poodle.” She was super cute. For Halloween we all went to a big party at my cousin Abbie’s house. AND, my Grandma and Grandpap dressed up too! They were a rabbit in a hat and a magician. That was so neat. We also got to spend time with our great family friends the Bieschke’s who were here for a few weeks visiting from Michigan. Here are a whole bunch of Halloween pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/christine.kless/Halloween2009?authkey=Gv1sRgCKKDhPTorsq_oAE&feat=email#
A few other highlights from the month include a trip to Columbus, Ohio for Mommy and Daddy’s work. That was fun. I do just love flying on the American Airlines. I am only a few thousand miles away from a free ticket! I wonder where I will go?! Cara and I got strep throat, that was probably the least fun part of the month. We are feeling better now. Mommy’s friends threw her a surprise 40th birthday party. Since it was right before Halloween the theme was “be”-witching. She was truly surprised and had no idea that this was happening. Grandma, Aunt Beth, Auntie Rachel, “Auntie” Lou Lou, “Auntie” Sarah and Nanny were all there too. So that is what that picture is of my Mommy. We went to the pumpkin patch this month, it was very cold and wet out there. Finally the rain has passed and we are seeing some sunshine. I have lots of baseball to play out in the backyard! I am trying my hand at football, but I am still learning. See lots of pumpkin patch pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/christine.kless/2009PumpkinPatch?authkey=Gv1sRgCJmgm4LarpnbPg&feat=email#
Cara is doing great. She is so sweet. She loves climbing up and down the steps and playing with my toys. That’s ok, I like her toys too. We are practicing on that “sharing” thing. Ha ha. Cara waves bye bye and when we sing her “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” she makes the “twinkle” with her hands. Her eye is doing ok. She has good vision out of it and the surgeon wants to wait a few years before doing another surgery. She stands up on her own, but no steps yet! I keep telling her how great walking is! Mommy doesn’t seem to think that walking is such a great idea. Cara is a very good pointer. She points at everything and if she wants something she points at it, and then points to herself. It is so cute. She is imitating words: bye bye, ma-ma, da-da! And of course “no-no!” Mommy tells me that “Sean” is a pretty hard one to say, so we are working on “brother.” She is finally getting more teeth! All four on the top are coming in.
That’s all from me! I hope you have a terrific Thanksgiving! Who knows, I may even eat turkey this year!
Love, Sean
