I am 46-months old today!
Hello all! Where did that last month go? It really just seemed to fly by.
Speaking of flying, I have been on the road again. We spent eight days in NY visiting family and friends. We got to go to my cousins’ Jack and Brian’s third birthday party! It was so much fun. I loved playing in the backyard with all the kids. We also enjoyed several trips to the Jolly Cow – a soft-serve ice cream shop in Kingston, NY; a trip to FDR’s library in Hyde Park; apple picking with my cousin Jessica; and visiting with friends of mommy’s from 30 years ago! We ventured out in the rain and toured the Hudson Valley Garlic festival, which would have been better not in the rain. We drove by the house Mommy grew up in and visited lots of other places from when she was my age. I had so much fun playing with my cousins and visiting with Meema and Papa. We have good news – my Papa is going to be able to come home from the rehabilitation facility this week! He is doing so much better and we really appreciate everyone’s prayers.
We also visited with the Leff family in Connecticut and had a very special lunch with the Schwalb’s at our favorite Italian restaurant. We got to meet Eleanor and Will (Phil’s twins!). We spent time with my second cousins on Long Island – the Price’s and had dinner with Cailin, Sionain and Eirinn. That sure was fun too. Then, we got to do my favorite part of the trip – we went to Citi Field to see the Mets play. It was a perfect evening and we had the best time.
While we were away, Grandma and Grandpap went to Germany for some big October party. They sure seemed to have a good time too, but there were no NY Mets over there! Grandma has been taking me to art class and the library programs. We have also been to a story time at a train depot – that is fun. Pre-school is going well and I am making new friends in my class. I still love playing baseball outside in my “ballpark.” We have had so much rain in Texas lately that I told Mommy that I was going to build a roof on my ballpark so I could play in the rain! I am really into the Imagination Movers, you know, the guys who “like to figure things out!” I love their music playing and I will play right along with them.
My sister is well. She had a doctor appointment a couple weeks ago to check the vision in her eye and she is doing great. She is moving all over the place, not walking yet, but soon. She waves and claps her hand, I still think she is “so cute.” She will be 1 in just a couple of weeks! I can’t believe a year has gone by so fast.
That’s all for this month. I am looking forward to a pumpkin patch this weekend and the Dallas arboretum on Monday as well as taking a work trip with Mommy and Daddy next week to Columbus, OH.
Take care and Happy Halloween!
Love, Sean
PS – speaking of Halloween, Mommy and I are in disagreement as to what I will be this year! She has a great inanimate costume planned for me, but I want to be Thomas. I want my sister to be a cow or a football player, Mommy isn’t going for that one either.
