I am 19-months old today!
Hi all and welcome to my 19th month birthday! I am doing well and hope you are too. It has been a real different summer here in Texas. We have had more rain than I have ever seen in my whole life, which I know is not long, but it is A LOT of rain. Consequently, I have not been swimming too often. I do like to swim and try to go whenever we can. Mommy lets me play and splash a lot in the tub, it’s not quite the same.
Here are a few highlights from my last month. We had a nice Father’s Day celebration. Everyone came to my house and we had a big dinner. It was a lot of fun. The next week my Great Uncle Charles and my Great Aunt Doll came to visit from Pittsburgh. We had a really nice time with them! There were many big dinners and family togetherness. We went to welcome the troops home again, which was great. Mommy came too. I was an old pro at it since I have done it before. My Uncle Mike and Aunt Melinda also came up to visit too. Daddy made breakfast for us when they were here, and guess what we ate?! Popcorn! Seriously, Daddy made popcorn for breakfast. We put milk on it and ate it. Now you can’t do it with the microwave kind you buy in the store, but fresh popcorn with milk tastes just like corn flakes. (Note: I have never had corn flakes, so I don’t know this for a fact, but mommy tells me so.)
Daddy and Mommy bought me my first iPod this month! It isn’t really mine, but it does house my music so mommy has something to sing to me while we are in the car. (Note: I did not mind Mommy not singing in the car, have you heard her sing?!) But, now we sing. As you can see from the picture, I still love the piano. I love to play with or without Daddy. I am saying all kinds of words. If you ask me what a cow says, I can tell you “moo”, I know the horse, duck, cat, dog and monkey too. I repeat a lot of what I hear. One of my favorite things to do is when I don’t want to eat something you want me to I say “hot,” whether it is hot or not. I like broccoli and cherrios (not together), but am starting to get fussy about eating some other things, which frustrates Mommy to no end.

Still speaking of food, Daddy and Mommy took me to have breakfast with Curious George! It was lots of fun. They had pancakes there, which is definitely high on my favorite list! My all-time favorite restaurant is The Original Pancake House. I get very excited when we go there! I also like the Bavarian Grille. Not for the food, but for the train! They have a cool train that goes around the restaurant. I love trains and airplanes. Grandma got me lots of books about airplanes. I love them all. You may be wondering how I am doing with my 600 minutes for summer time reading. Well, I am happy to report that as of yesterday, we crossed the line! On Friday we will turn in my minutes and I will get a book!!
4th of July was nice. I went to the parade with Mommy, Daddy, Abbie and Grandma. Luckily the rain held out just long enough for the parade to make its way. Then guess what we did? We went to eat pancakes!! Today I went to a play date where it was just guys! I thought you would like to see a picture of me and my little buddies. We are all laughing because Mommy was making some very, very silly noises.

Well, that’s all from me this month. I hope you are all having a happy summer. I have plans to go to Kansas City in a couple weeks and then we are going on vacation in August. Guess who is coming on vacation with us? That’s right, Grandma!!
Love, Sean
PS – I had my 18-month doctor check up. I am growing well. I am 2 foot 11 inches tall (96%) and 26.25 pounds (55%).
