I am 18-months old today

Hi everyone – I can hardly believe it! 18 months! 6 quarters! A year and a half!

Time sure does fly …

To say I have been on the go the last month would be an understatement. The month started out nice with celebrating Mommy’s second Mother’s Day! Everyone (even new cousin Emily!) came to my house for a big dinner. A couple days later, I left for Orlando. That’s right! Home of the big mouse! Mommy and Daddy had a conference in Orlando so they had to work, but guess who came with me to have fun? That’s right! Grandma! We stayed in a beautiful hotel that had live alligators inside. Grandma’s friend Sue Simon lives in Orlando and she took us to Animal Kingdom. I loved all the animals. They were just like the ones in my books. The next day, Grandma’s other friend, Ellen and her baby Avery, took us to Downtown Disney. The next day, Mommy and Daddy were all done with their work and we could all go to the Magic Kingdom. I loved it. I had my picture taken with Mickey and Pooh. I got to ride many rides and see two parades. It was a great time.

From Orlando, Mommy, Daddy and me flew to NY for my three new cousin’s Baptisms. It was great to see all my family, especially Meema and Papa. They could not believe what a big boy I have become. I am very excited too because Aunt Eileen (Daddy’s sister) just asked me to be in her wedding this fall as the ring bearer. I know Mommy is going to help me practice a lot so I walk down the aisle with a little pillow. We got to see my half sisters too, which was very nice.

After being home for just two days from NY, Mommy and Daddy left without me. They went to Australia for 10 days for work. They did manage to do quite a bit of sightseeing though. They climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge, toured the Sydney Opera House and attended a performance, visited the aquarium and wildlife preserve and ate at a lot of great places. But the best part of them being gone was I got to stay at Camp Grandma!! We had all sorts of fun. We played and swam (although not as much as we would have liked because it rained for days and days here), went to a graduation party and hung out with Aunt Beth. One exciting night was the night of the big slumber party. Cousin Abbie came and stayed at Grandma’s house overnight. We had so much fun. I got to see Mommy and Daddy via video using Skype. It was great to see them and it sure made Mommy feel better about leaving me for so long. I went to the airport to pick them up and it was so good to see them. I did love my time at Grandma and Grandpap’s, but as they say, it is good to be home.

The last few days I have been doing my summertime activities. Lots of swimming, going to Gymboree and playing with my toys. Mommy signed me up for a sports camp that starts in a few weeks. I say a lot of words and can repeat a lot. Mommy and Daddy are starting to spell a lot of words now, I wonder why?! I love to run and climb stairs and I still like having my teeth brushed. Grandma signed me up for the 600-minute reading club at the library. If I read (or am read to) for 600 minutes this summer, I will get a book! We are tracking my minutes. It may take a while. Most of my books only take two minutes to read!

I hope you all have a wonderful summer. Feel free to drop us a note to let you know what you are up to.

Love, Sean

Don’t worry – Mommy cut them down from 258 to 63 pictures!
