Today I am 106-months old!
Happy October, everyone!
A few exciting things have been happening around here. First, my Dad’s radio show has been signed on for a full year! We are very excited for him. You can listen to the show live or download the podcast. Click here for more info! Also, my Mom went back to work part time. She is working for her first boss, Gary, who she worked for right out of college. She is doing marketing for his two businesses, Shag Carpet Props and Game On! It is a pretty neat place. They have free candy for all the employees - you know who likes that? Cara! Every time Mom goes to work, Cara wants her to bring home candy. ha ha!
I have been enjoying third grade. I have two different teachers this year. One for math/science/homeroom and one for English. I like both of them and am doing well. We got to do a schema project and I choose the NY Mets. I have started to walk home by myself from school. I actually walk to a friend’s house with some of my friends and then mom picks me up there.
Baseball is in full swing. We have a few more weeks left and then a post-season tournament. We also have been enjoying watching MLB! October is playoff time!
Cara has adjusted to Kindergarten. She LOVES her teacher. I mean really loves her teacher. She talks about her all of the time. She continues with gymnastics and cheerleading. She also started a drama class. It is the characters from Frozen, but they are going to “write” a different play. She seems to enjoy that quite a bit.
We started Religious Education a few weeks back. Mom is teaching Cara’s class this year. I am in a class with several of my friends. Cara still likes to help mom in the kitchen.
The weeks seem to be very full with activities and school-related events. We have been enjoying being able to play outside in the evening from time to time and going to the park. Sundays are spent watching Red Zone and managing my two fantasy football teams. We had our annual Walk to School day yesterday and our school’s Back to School picnic. Can you guess who is in the horse outfit?
We enjoyed a visit from Bill Stout a couple weeks ago. He is a life-long friend from Pittsburgh. He always fun to have around.
The rest of October is going to be awesome! Cara’s 6th birthday, Halloween and my parent’s 10th wedding anniversary are coming up.
Love, Sean
