Today I am 98-months old
January sure came and went in a hurry. It has been really cold here in North Texas and we have even had snow! Not enough to build a snowman, but enough to dust the ground. Cara is obsessed with the movie “Frozen” and she seems to think that she is the one who makes it snow!
We enjoyed a visit with Cailin earlier this month. We had fun making our own pizzas and just hanging out. She even came to our DI meeting and gave us an acting lesson! Cailin also came and had lunch with me at school. It was a fun visit and we hope she comes back later this summer.
I have still been enjoying basketball and our team is doing well. We had one tough loss. I have enjoyed playing on a team with my friends. I mostly play guard and have gotten good at making rebounds and keeping the ball in play. I have scored a few points this season and like to do what needs to be done to help out my teammates. It has been another great season and we are grateful for outstanding coaches who know how to make the game fun.
School has been going well. We had to make a timeline project and give a presentation to the class. I did my timeline as a baseball diamond and then included a mini-timeline inside the bases of my baseball career. It was fun to look at some many photos of me growing up. My teacher thought that the baseball diamond was very creative. Dad also was a Watch D.O.G. in my class earlier this month. It was great to have him there and I know he enjoys it.
I have been to a few Allen American hockey games lately. I do like going. I almost always get to go with Grandma, which is a good time! One game wasn’t crowded, so we moved down to seats right on the ice! It was exciting to be part of the action.
Grandma and Grandpap celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last week. Mom made them a video of photos from the last 45 years. It was fun to watch!
Cara is doing well. She continues with gymnastics and ballet. I am most excited that she is signed up for softball! I can’t wait to help coach her. Mom and her spend Fridays together doing a lot of fun things. They have been to a concert, the Perot museum and to open gym. Cara has an amazing imagination. She also likes to draw. She made this picture. We weren’t sure what it was, so she explained. It is a picture of a giant crab chasing Daddy on the beach.

I have enjoyed this NFL football season and liked watching the Super Bowl with friends. I am excited about the Olympics, particularly the hockey.
This month is a big one. Our DI performance is coming up the first weekend of March and I will make my first Reconciliation also in early March. Baseball practice has started and I am with a new team this season - the Hounds. We are playing in two leagues, which will get us a lot more games.
I hope you stay warm! Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love, Sean
