Today I am 76-months old!

Hello and Happy day-after Easter! I hope your day was as fun as mine DSC_0062was. The Easter festivities started with Church, then we came home and had an Easter egg hunt along with some presents. It was very exciting – I got signed up to go to Texas Ranger baseball camp this summer! It is for a week in June! I can hardly wait. We met up with everyone for a fancy brunch at a hotel. Next stop was Grandma and Grandpap’s house for more Easter hunting and relaxing with family. It was a great day.

Lots of fun things have been happening in the last month. As I mentioned, we were headed to College Station to see an Aggie baseball game the first part of spring break. Well, the weather was cold and rainy, but that didn’t keep us away! We met up with our good friends, The Hodges, and enjoyed nine innings of baseball at the new Aggie field.

DSC_0072We spent a couple days in College Station visiting places Mommy used to go when she was a student there. We headed west to Austin to visit Uncle Mike & Aunt Melinda. Mom hadn’t seen their new house yet. It was a quick, but nice visit with a stop at our favorite restaurant – Kerbey Lane.

I had a nice spring break. I got to spend the night at Grandma’s house, go to an Allen American's game and a Dallas Mavericks’ game. We visited the Dallas Arboretum with our friends and got some great pictures by the flowers. Mommy has pictures of me and Cara together at the Arboretum in the same spot for the last four years. It is always a bit of a production, because she insists on having us in our Easter clothes, which means we have to change cloths, take pictures and then change back before we can play again. She says the photos are worth it.

I have been very focused on baseball – both playing and watching. DSC_0071Our team – The Rangers – has had a couple of games already. We have done pretty well. I have gotten a couple hits each game and made some outs. I love that Daddy is coaching our team and Mommy is helping out too. I am learning more about baseball and it is awesome to play with friends who like the sport as much as me!

I have been interested in biographies of people. Mommy read a book about Thomas Jefferson and Babe Ruth to me and last night we started one on Thomas Edison. It is interesting to learn how people lived a long time ago.

I can’t believe there are only a couple months left of school. I am looking forward to summer. I am hoping to get a little more Grandma time – maybe a sleepover every week? Mommy is doing a bunch of work around the house between now and when we get out of school. There was some landscaping that happened last week and a new fence is this week. The big project is the kitchen remodel. I heard we weren’t going to have the use of our kitchen for two weeks!

My sister is doing well. Other than sticking a pea up her nose a couple weeks ago at dinner. Thankfully Mommy made her blow and it came right out. She is a funny little girl. She got some more Legos for Easter, which she loves, along with a softball girl doll. Of course she liked the candy the best! Cara is currently obsessed with the Food Network and Giada in particular. Giada was coming to Plano for a book signing and Mommy thought that Cara should go and meet Giada. It was a great time for Cara! (I am a little sad I didn’t get to go, but I was in school.) Giada was so nice to her and took a great photo with her. Cara loves helping Mommy in the kitchen and always drags this big stool around to be sure she can be involved in whatever is going on in the kitchen. Well, actually, Cara likes to be in the middle of whatever is going on anywhere in the house.

It’s Spring and that means METS baseball! As of this writing, the Mets are 3-0! A great way to start the season! 159 games to go, but we’ll take it!

Let’s Go Mets!
