I am 3.5 today!
Hello everyone, and welcome to my 3.5 year birthday!
This month started with my Mommy and Daddy leaving for a weekend away! They went to NY for Daddy’s 25th high school reunion, and they went to the new Citi Field where my beloved Mets play. Then, a couple days later, they went away again for a work conference. Geez, they just kept leaving us! That’s ok, me and Cara got to stay at Camp Grandma. It was fun. I finished up pre-school this month. I will miss my teachers and especially my friends. I have already gotten to play with one friend, Megan at the water splash park! We also went to cousin Emily’s 2nd birthday party – I had so much fun.
We’ve been going to the park a lot since Cara likes to swing. I put a picture on here where I am “helping” swing her. I think I am doing a really good job. She likes to go high and fast – just like me! Since it is getting warm out, I have been playing inside a little more in the afternoon. I love my Legos and Bristol blocks. I still love all my airplanes and ask every day if there is mail for me from “American Airlines.” Oddly enough, they do send me mail more than you would think. Something about a credit card …
Daddy’s cousin got married the last weekend in May to a girl from Texas! A lot of family and friends came to town for the big wedding. Me and Cara didn’t go to the wedding, but we went to a brunch the next day. It was nice to see family who we don’t get to see too often. My Meema and Papa came from NY too! It was great fun to visit with them. We went out to dinner – one of my favorite places, PF Chang’s – where I ate almost two orders of edamame!
I have a pretty busy summer coming up. Mommy signed me up for tee ball again. Mostly because I ask to play every day and it is getting pretty warm outside. We only play outside now in the morning. Daddy bought me my very first baseball glove! I love it! I took it to the RoughRiders minor league game we went to over Memorial Day, and guess what?! I caught a foul ball!! It went right from my Daddy’s hand into my waiting glove! How’s that for cool?! This was Cara’s first baseball game, I think she liked it.
Also this summer, I am going to swim lessons – every day for two weeks! I just started yesterday, so I will let you know how that goes next month. Grandma has me signed up for some fun summer programs too including a cooking class and library program. We’ve started going to the concerts in the park, which is pretty fun. I have already been swimming in Grandma’s pool and Grandma bought me new BLUE sand for my sandbox! Blue is my favorite color. My second favorite is green.
My sister is doing well. She rolls over (and off of things) all the time! She sits up by herself and plays with toys. She eats all kinds of food – banana, avocado, pears, peaches, green beans, peas, squash and sweet potatoes. Most importantly though, she eats one of my most favorites, pancakes! She has just one tiny little tooth, but it seems to work just fine for her. She babbles a lot. Mommy thinks she is saying, “mama,” but I’m not so sure. She also went to another doctor for a second opinion on her eye. They liked this doctor better and Cara will have her surgery done the end of the summer at Children’s Hospital. I’ll keep you posted on this.
Oh, these are some things that I say that Mommy thinks are pretty funny, so she wanted me to include:
“She’s just a little betty.” (in reference to Cara. When asked what a “betty” was, Sean replied, “Spanish for Cara.”)
“I have two baseball stadiums in my backyard, Shea and Citi Field. The new one has luxury boxes.”
Well, that’s all from me!
I hope you have a fun summer and talk to you next month.
Love, Sean
