I am 31-months old today
Happy Summer everyone!
It sure is hot here in Texas! As Daddy says, there are four seasons down here … “almost summer, summer, still summer and Christmas!”
This last month has been pretty quiet for me – no meeting famous athletes or heads of government agencies, but I did get to meet an astronaut! As you know, I love aviation. I love airplanes and my new favorite is the space shuttle. The Museum of Nature and Science has a great visiting exhibit called “Eyes on Earth.” Mommy took me for a visit, which I loved. Then we learned that an astronaut was going to come to the Museum too! Well, we had to meet her. She was a “lady astronaut.” She is one of the first private citizens to go into space and is the donor behind the Ansari X Prize. She had a video of the space craft she used to go into space and footage from her time at the International Space Station. We then got to meet her at a reception!
Earlier in the month we celebrated my cousin Abbie’s sixth birthday. She had a giant waterslide in her backyard. At first I didn’t want anything to do with it. But then, after I went down it with Aunt Beth, I LOVED it! As a matter of fact, they could not get me out of it. It was kind of funny to watch Mommy and her big belly trying to get in to pull me out. I was quite unhappy that after an hour of sliding I had to leave. We had a great time though.
We also celebrated 4th of July with a night out to the ballpark! We saw the Frisco Rough Riders win (Double A team for the Texas Rangers) and then watched the fireworks after the game. They were very loud, but I liked them just the same.
A few other things I am up to this summer … I am doing well on my summer reading program. I am at 500 minutes of reading already. When I finish 600 minutes, I get to pick out a book! Tee ball finished up and now I am in soccer once a week with many of my little friends. Grandma takes me to the library and art class weekly. Last week at art they read one of my favorite books – Moo Baa La La La (you can see an old video of me reciting the book – http://picasaweb.google.com/christine.kless/SeanSings). Well, my art teacher was very impressed that I knew ALL the words to the book and that I was so animated when I recited them for the class!! We also have been attending band concerts in the park. My friend Abby’s Mommy plays in the band – they had a great 4th of July concert. Daddy took me to see a movie – Wall E – and to get a hair cut with his barber, Mr. Phil.
As I kept telling Mommy, I was going to have a sister – and I was right! My sister is scheduled to come on October 23 (that is also Mommy and Daddy’s wedding anniversary!!). Here is a link to the sonogram - http://picasaweb.google.com/ed.kless/BabyK2Sonagram/photo#5214855343529266690.
I hope you are doing well and having a happy summer. Later this month we are going to Houston to visit NASA and see my Mets play the Astros! We are also planning a trip to NYC in August where we are to a Yankees and Mets game. I can’t wait.
See you soon!
Love, Sean
