I am 16-months old today

Here we are, another month, another email update! I have some very exciting news to tell you!

First, I have a brand new cousin – Jessica Nicole arrived on March 27. I can’t wait to meet her!
Second, as of March 16, I am a walker. I walk everywhere now. There is no stopping me. As you can imagine though, with walking, comes falling. I have had a couple of bad tumbles and even got a cut on my head. Usually I fall when I try to run. Mommy is having lots of fun buying shoes for me. Who knew you needed lots of shoes. Daddy just rolls his eyes.

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with our annual party. There were lots of people at my house. Daddy made Irish whiskeys, which I did not get to try. Mommy took me to the Dallas arboretum, which was beautiful. We met many of my friends there and even had a picnic lunch. I had my picture taken with a bunny! I liked the bunny. I have been on various play outings and we have been going to the park a lot. I now love to go down the slide. It has been very nice weather wise here in Texas. Until last Friday. It turned very cold. Like in the 30s and 40s. As a matter of fact, we went to an Easter egg hunt this past Saturday and it snowed. OK, so it was mainly a bunch of falling flakes, but it definitely snowed. It was so cold, but I still didn’t mind being outside. I love the outside. I got to go to another Easter Egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpap’s church with cousin Abbie. There was a bunny there, but it was not the bunnies I was used to. I did not like this bunny.

Yesterday was my second Easter! It was a fun day. We went to church, then to a big brunch. Cousin Abbie was there with us! I always love to see Abbie. My Mommy and Daddy gave me furniture for Easter. It is red, just like Mommy’s couch. I also got patio furniture. We don’t have a picture of that because it has been too cold for me to be outside. I bet I will use it a lot during the summer. While furniture is an ok gift, the best gifts came at the Easter basket hunt at Grandma and Grandpap’s house! I got lots of cool stuff there. They gave me a basketball hoop, which I really love!

I continue to go to Gymboree class. We did a fun day – “collegiate day at Gymboree” – where all of us kids were put in our parent’s Alma matters. We didn’t have any Pace University gear, so Mommy’s Texas Aggies won out.

I have some special events planned. In a couple weeks I am going with my friend Chase and his parents to see my first major league baseball game. We are going to see the Texas Rangers play. Then, after the game, Mommy and me are going with daddy on a business trip to Chicago! They tell me we are going to a baseball game there too. Chicago is one of Mommy’s favorite cities and she can’t wait to show me all the cool places. (And all of the shops!). I will be making my annual pilgrimage to the Sage Software (where my Daddy works) conference. Mommy and Daddy speak at the conference and I get to hang out with Grandma! This year’s conference is in Orlando, and you know what that means! Disney World!! I am very excited!! From Orlando, we fly to NY for the baptisms of all my new cousins – Jack, Brian and Jessica. It will be a very busy travel week, but filled with lots of good times.

My family is doing well. Grandma and Grandpap left for a week to go to Iceland with Aunt Melinda and Uncle Mike. I missed them very much, but it was fun when they got home – just in time to see me walk. Daddy is still traveling a lot. I miss him when he is gone, but I am a good boy and sleep well for Mommy. Mommy is starting to travel a little for work too.

A couple new things I am enjoying include broccoli (although I am still rather particular about my food) and brushing my teeth. Both good things says Mommy!

Well, I hope you are all doing well and you are seeing signs of Spring. It is supposed to warm up here in Texas this week, which is good, because I need to get back to the park!!

xoxo,
Sean
