Texas Third in Debt

The total debt of the State of Texas is just shy of $286 billion, yes that is with a B!

This amounts to roughly $11,000 for every man, woman, and child in the state, according to the State Budget Solutions website, we are third in the United States.

My Democratic opponent will tell you that we need to raise taxes, which while misguided, is at least, honest. My Republican opponent will tell you he tried to reduce the debt, but his mostly Republican colleagues wouldn’t let him.

It is time to wake up!
