Could Texas Become More Like Israel?

Below is a video from Ideas in Action about entrepreneurialism and Israel. It got me to thinking, what could Texas do to create the conditions necessary to allow to happen here the same kind of boom that Israel is experiencing?

I have already suggested a few:

  • Eliminate property taxes.
  • Eliminate the franchise tax.
  • Institute a consumption tax.
  • Petition the Federal Government to allow for my work visas both in agriculture and high tech.
  • Institute school vouchers.
  • Eliminate regulations so as to encourage the development and implementation of driverless car technology.
