Texas in Worse Fiscal Shape Than New York

As we Texans celebrate Come and Take It Day, also, know as the Battle of Gonzales, let’s ask ourselves just what is it that we are challenging our oppressive government to try to take away?

I believe that Washington, D.C. is irreparably broken.  The corrupt two party system, mired in the ways of Washington, is also broken.  Now, we have proof that Austin is broken as well.

Republicans admit that Texas pension liabilities are 53% unfunded. By comparison, New York is only 40% unfunded.   Now there is talk of a federal bailout of state pension funds! Not just in Texas but other states as well.

Enough with this debt! Stop the bailouts!  

Are we as Texans to be humiliated by being bailed out by New York?  Is our huge, self-imposed debt what we want Washington to take from us?

Many of our problems are Made in Washington.  This one, however, is Made in Austin and by the supposedly fiscally responsible Republicans. 

It is time to wake up!
