Neat Driverless Car Infographic

Regular readers of this blog will not doubt be familiar with my position on driverless car technology and my call for the State of Texas to revoke laws which require a human operator to be in control of the vehicle.

Recently, I was contacted by someone who has developed an interesting infographic on the subject. In addition to saving 30,000 plus lives a year and the reduction in pollution, think about the other possibilities of this technology:

  • Door to door safe drop off and pickup of kids at a school.
  • A four to six-fold increase in thoroughfare throughput.
  • More one-car families and increased in temporary rentals/taxi services.
