On the $11 Billion Shortfall

Local news outlets are buzzing with the news that Texas faces an $11 billion shortfall. Some legislators are calling for an increase in the student to teacher ratio while others bring up the usual suspect of opening Texas to casino gambling.

The answer is, “Yes!” to both of the above, but we need more. If elected, I would:

  • Eliminate any student/teacher ratio. It is absurd that this is legislated from Austin.
  • Move to create a school voucher problem for all K-12 students and their parents.
  • Legalize casino gambling.
  • In addition, I will go where no politician is willing to go – CUT SPENDING!
