John Jay Myers Fund Raiser at Sambuca

On Thursday evening I attended a fund raising event for my fellow Libertarian John Jay Myers at the trendy Dallas restaurant Sambuca. John Jay is running against Pete Session in the 23rd Congressional District here in Texas.

He gave a terrific speech to the crowd of supporters. Here are some excerpts.

His campaign message is simple:

He is against the government’s involvement in most aspects of our lives, and are particularly against the Welfare/Warfare state. 70% of Americans are fiscally conservative yet socially tolerant, this is the Libertarian Parties motto. 

In addition to this event, he appeared on local talk radio with JD Wells  of The Wells Report where he called John "the best candidate he has ever interviewed.”
